Physmo’s Mos Speedrun [$0.99] is a notable speedrunner platformer that games like Mikey Shorts [$1.99] owe a particular gameplay debt to. Physmo worked on the interesting Ghost Racer [$0.99] and Physmo’s Nick worked on The Dungeoning for PC, but fear not, speedrun fanatics: Mos Speedrun 2 is well in the works. The developers teased an early screenshot last year, but just today have released a trailer for the upcoming game, showing off some of what you can expect from this sequel:
Wall-jumping, rope-swinging, and swimming will all be key to survival, along with some well-timed jumping and general platforming expertise to not only make it through the levels alive, but also through them as quickly as possible. With all the new gameplay elements and hazards, it’ll just be interesting to see how this all comes together: the first game was challenging fun, and I expect nothing less from this. No release date is set in stone yet, but Physmo is aiming for this to be done in the next couple of months.
