Pokemon Trading Card Game Getting “Primal Clash” Expansion in February

Pokemon Trading Card Game Getting Primal Clash Expansion in February
The popular Pokemon Trading Card Game is set to get a major expansion on February 4th, according to a report from IGN. The new expansion is called Primal Clash and is set to add a whopping 160 new cards to the game, including new Primal Reversions of existing characters like Primal Kyogre-EX and Primal Groudon-EX. Those are the only two Pokemon so far to have Primal Reversions, as introduced in the recent 3DS remakes Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The expansion will also include twelve new Pokemon-EX cards. In addition to new character cards the Primal Clash expansion will also include two new theme decks, one called Earth’s Pulse and one called Ocean’s Core, as well as twenty-five trainer cards, featuring four full-art rare Ultra cards and two Special Energies according to IGN.

The physical card packs for Pokemon TCG come with digital codes so you can take your new physical cards into the digital world, and that should hold true for the Primal Clash expansion. That means you’ll be able to use them in the Pokemon TCG Online [Free (HD)] iPad client, which was released in the fall of last year. Look for the Primal Clash expansion in stores starting February 4th.
